Here is a large 2 1/8″ pinback with a beautiful woman in an early bathing suit (a little risqué for the period). It is in good condition with the following issues: (1) rust on back which does not impact the front design, (2) small air pocket under the celluloid to the left of her knee, and (3) small mark on the celluloid near the woman’s stomach which shows in reflected light. Even we these comments, it is still a desirable pinback. I think this pinback dates to the 1900 period.

Bathing Beauty Pinback circa 1900
Here is a large 2 1/8″ pinback with a beautiful woman in an early bathing suit (a little risqué for the period). It is in good condition with the following issues: (1) rust on back which does not impact the front design, (2) small air pocket under the celluloid to the left of her knee, and (3) small mark on the celluloid near the woman’s stomach which shows in reflected light. Even we these comments, it is still a desirable pinback. I think this pinback dates to the 1900 period. There is no manufacturer’s name or backpaper.
