Cute advertising paper bag for Buster Brown Shoes or accessories from a store in Sac City, Iowa – UG Stonebrook & Sons circa 1920s (marked on the bag). The paper bag measure 6 1/8″ by 11″. Envelopes have images of Buster Brown hugging a dog (but does not look like Tige) with images of boys and girls playing on a swing, roller skates, and a jump rope. Text on bag reads “Happy boys and happy girls; Babies, too with flaxen curls; Watch them romp and jump and play, In Buster Brown’s the live long day.” Back text reads “The only shoes a child should wear, Are ones made with the utmost care, That they protect and Keep feet strong, And ever hurt them all day long. That’s why the shoes of Buster Brown, With shaping last have won renown. Have you ever tried to skate Down to school and not be late? Can you skate and not fall down? Oh, yes, with shoes 0f Buster Brown.” Bag has aging and slight wear but still display very nicely.
