This black and white tone photo pinback was from a set made in the United States before the US entered the war. This was a chance for Americans to wear a piece of history from the war in Europe. I have had almost the complete set and no pinbacks show any US soldiers or sailors in action (therefore they should date before April 1917). This pinback is marked #70 with the text “Submerged Fortifications to Guard Against Air Attacks”. The pinback measures 1 1/4″ across and is in excellent condition. The backpaper is for “The American Art Works / Coshocton, Ohio”.

This black and white tone photo pinback was from a set made in the United States before the US entered the war. This was a chance for Americans to wear a piece of history from the war in Europe. The pinback measures 1 1/4″ across and is in excellent condition. The backpaper is for “The American Art Works / Coshocton, Ohio”.
