Here is a pinback and ribbon for the 8th National Townsend Convention June 2-6, 1948. This is related to Francis Townsend and his Townsend Plan (for Social Security). The pinback measures 1 9/16″ across and the ribbon is 5 1/4″ long. The ribbon states “Voting”. The pinback has several scratches below the “VE” in Convention and the ribbon has a small white spot near the “T” in Voting and two minor folds. It still displays nicely. The pinback shows the Washington Monument.
