Description

This German postcard shows a winter scene for the 1936 Winter Olympics in Germany.  The postcard includes a note to the recipient and the German postmark date of 1/30/1936.  The Olympics were held from February 6th to 10th, 1936.

This postcard has an artist’s name but it is too small for my eyes. Hitler used the Olympics as propaganda to show the world that German athletes were the best in the world.  However, many athletes from other countries (including the US) proved that Hitler was not correct.

The postcard measure 5 3/4″ by 4 1/8″ and is in good condition with minor wear at the corners.
