In 1907, a large fair/exposition was held in Jamestown, Virginia to celebrate the founding of Jamestown in 1607 (300 year anniversary). Lots of dignitaries attended the event, including Teddy Roosevelt. This fob was a tourist souvenir from the exposition. It is estimated that 3 million people visited the exposition. The fob measures 1″ by 4 1/2″ and is in very good condition. It has enameling on the front in the shape of a ship. It has the words “1607 / 1907 Souvenir Jamestown Exposition” on the back. Lots of dignitaries attended the event, including Teddy Roosevelt. This fob was a tourist souvenir from the exposition. It is estimated that 3 million people visited the exposition. The links on the fob will slide. This item was from the Ira Reed Collection and is photographed in his 1907 Jamestown Exposition Price Guide (that was published around 2007 – 400 year celebration). I will have over 30 Jamestown Expositions to post on my website.
