In 1907, a large fair/exposition was held in Jamestown, Virginia to celebrate the founding of Jamestown in 1607 (300 year anniversary). Lots of dignitaries attended the event, including Teddy Roosevelt. This pin was a tourist souvenir from the exposition. It is estimated that 3 million people visited the exposition. The small tomahawk shaped pin measures 1 1/8″ by 9/16″ and is in very good condition. It has red enameling on a gold color background. It has the words “1607 / 1907 Jamestown Exposition”, a swastika (Indian symbol for Good Luck), and the head of an Indian.

In 1907, a large fair/exposition was held in Jamestown, Virginia to celebrate the founding of Jamestown in 1607  (300 year anniversary).  Lots of dignitaries attended the event, including Teddy Roosevelt.  This pin was a tourist souvenir from the exposition.  It is estimated that 3 million people visited the exposition. The small tomahawk shaped pin measures 1 1/8″ by 9/16″ and is in very good condition. It has red enameling on a gold color background.  It has the words “1607 / 1907 Jamestown Exposition”, a swastika (Indian symbol for Good Luck), and the head of an Indian.  This item was from the Ira Reed Collection and is photographed in his 1907 Jamestown Exposition Price Guide (that was published around 2007 – 400 year celebration).   I will have over 30 Jamestown Expositions to post on my website.
