This litho pinback is from the 1930s and has a cartoon drawing of Perry (Winnie Winkle’s cousin). Winnie Winkle comics were a very popular cartoon character that ran for seven decades starting in 1920. Winnie was the first working women in comics. The pinback measures 7/8″ across and is in very good condition. It is marked #49 (from a set of cartoon pinbacks) and includes the text “Perry / Winnie Winkle by (Martin) Branner”. It is marked around the curl “Western Theatre Premium Co. / Los Angeles”.

1930s Perry Winnie Winkle Cartoon Los Angeles Pinback

This litho pinback is from the 1930s and has a cartoon drawing of Perry (Winnie Winkle’s cousin).  Winnie Winkle comics were a very popular cartoon character that ran for seven decades starting in 1920.  Winnie was the first working women in comics.  The pinback measures 7/8″ across and is in very good condition.  It is marked #49 (from a set of cartoon pinbacks) and includes the text “Perry / Winnie Winkle by  (Martin) Branner”.   It is marked around the curl “Western Theatre Premium Co. / Los Angeles”.  It may have been a give-away at a movie theatre.
