The slogan is related to Elliot Roosevelt (FDR’s son) getting a Captain’s commission in the Army, which many believed was unfair. This white and blue pinback measures 1 1/4″ across and is in excellent condition.

Wendell Willkie’s 1940 Presidential Campaign generated many anti-FDR (Franklin D. Roosevelt) pinbacks. This one states “I Want to Be a Captain”. This white and blue pinback measures 1 1/4″ across and is in excellent condition. There is no backpaper or manufacturer’s name.
