Australia Day Carnival 1918 World War 1 Pinback

Australia produced a number of pinbacks related to the home front including Red Cross, Orphans, Disabled Soldiers, etc. during World War I.  This pinback shows a native Australian woman and her baby.  The text is “Australia Day Carnival 1918”.  The pinback measures 1 1/4″ across and is in good condition with very minor surface wear visible under close inspection.  There is a manufacturer’s name on the curl but it is obscured by the rim (I can see the word “Melbourne”).   See my website for other Australia World War I pinbacks.
