Patriotic Uncle Sam Vermont Pinback circa 1900

Description

This beautiful  and colorful pinback has Uncle Sam surrounded by fire crackers.  It states “Village Improvement Society / So. Shaftsbury, VT”.  South Shaftsbury is a very small town in Vermont. I would guess that very few of these pinbacks have survived from the 1900 period.  The pinback measures 1  1/4″ across and is in excellent condition.  Backpaper is for Whitehead & Hoag.
