Here are two New York State Fair wooden “nickel” money. The “nickel” was a comem0rative for the New York State Fair held August 25 to September 2, 1940. I attached photos of the front and back. The wood money is very thin and can break. These two have survived 78 years.  I am selling the pair for $7.00. They could be used in stores or cashed at the local bank in Syracuse, NY (sorry they have expired.)  They measure 2 1/4″ by 4″ and are in nice condition.

Wood Money – NY State Fair 1940

Here are two New York State Fair wooden “nickel” money. The “nickel” was a comem0rative for the New York State Fair held August 25 to September 2, 1940.  I attached photos of the front and back.   The wood money is very thin and can break.  These two have survived 78 years.  Along the bottom is the manufacturer’s name “John B. Rodgers Producing Co., Fosteria, Ohio  Copyright 1938”.  I am selling the pair for $7.00.  They could be used in stores or cashed at the local bank in Syracuse, NY (sorry they have expired.)  They measure 2 1/4″ by 4″ and are in nice condition.
