Head Acorn Award / Boy Scouts of America.” Walter Head served as a President of the Boy Scouts from 1926 to 1946. This pinback would date from this period. It measures 7/8″ across and is in very good condition.

Boy Scout Acorn Award 7/8″ Pinback old
This pinback has a drawing of the Boy Scout emblem inside of an acorn. It states “President Walter W. Head Acorn Award / Boy Scouts of America.” Walter Head served as a President of the Boy Scouts from 1926 to 1946. This pinback would date from this period. It measures 7/8″ across and is in very good condition except for a very small scratch on the front which is visible on close inspection and a little rust on the back which does not impact the design. It displays nicely. The backpaper is “Offset Gravure Corp / Celluloid & Metal Novelties / New York City” and a union bug. More old Boy and Girl Scout items are to be added to my website.
