Description
This photo depicts a negro family leaving with their belongings. Their are following Gen. Sherman on his march to the sea. The photo was reprinted by Paramount Pictures (stamped on the back) around 1911 from the original Civil War negatives for use in a potential Civil War movie. The photo measures 3 1/2″ by 5″ and is in good condition. A piece of paper comes with the photo describing the photo – the thin paper is very brittle. The back of the photo is also stamped Copyright 1911 by Patriot Publishing Company from “Photographic History of the Civil War”.
