It appears that he blocked the right of African-Americans to vote in the 1903 election. The photo pinback measures 1 1/4″ across and is in very good condition.

Here is a Maryland pinback for Democratic Governor Edwin Warfield. He lost in the 1899 election for Governor but won in 1903. He would serve as Governor until 1908. It appears that he blocked the right of African-Americans to vote in the 1903 election. The photo pinback measures 1 1/4″ across and is in very good condition. The backpaper is “Balto. Badge & Novelty / Baltimore MD”.
