Here is a group of three Steuben County Fishermen Jubilee wooden “nickel” money. The “nickel” was a comem0rative for the event held June 14 to 16, 1940 for the opening of fishing season in Angola, Indiana. The attached photo shows the front and back. The wood money is very thin and can break. I am selling the three as a group for $8.00. They could be cashed at the Angola Chamber of Commerce (sorry, they have expired.) They measure 2 1/2″ by 5 3/4″ and are in good condition.

Wood Money – Fishermen Jubilee Angola, Indiana 1940
Here is a group of three Steuben County Fishermen Jubilee wooden “nickel” money. The “nickel” was a comem0rative for the event held June 14 to 16, 1940 for the opening of fishing season in Angola, Indiana. The attached photo shows the front and back. The wood money is very thin and can break. These three have survived 78 years. I am selling the three as a group for $8.00. They could be cashed at the Angola Chamber of Commerce (sorry, they have expired.) They measure 2 1/2″ by 5 3/4″ and are in good condition with a small piece missing from a corner in each “nickel”.
